Delicious sushi that left me wanting more! The service was a little slow, they were trying their hardest, though they needed another person. They also have great weekday lunch specials! Overall it was a great experience and we'll definitely be going back!

Love this place! It made my birthday it was so good! Best sushi I've ever had. I love the complimentary soup and holiday roll, its so good and a decent amount, it's unbelievable that it is free. Prices are totally fair, the atmosphere is super awesome and zen like. Just love this place so much.

This place is attractively-decorated and seating is comfortable. Prices are decent, with lunch coming with soup, salad, and crab tempura appetizer. Everything tasted fine, although the miso soup was a bit thin (I'm not used to being able to see all the way to the bottom), and not even little cubes of toufu or seaweed. The nigiri sushi was served room temperature, not chilled, and the cucumber in the Calif. roll was a bit tougher than I've ever had before. So, it was OK but nowhere near the best I've ever had.

Got some take out lunch here a couple of days ago. The service this time was fair. The place was not busy. The sushi was not great as it use to be like it was over a year ago. I guess they are cutting corners. I rather have fresh sushi made for me at Publix. You get more for your buck, and it can be custom made. The fish taste better and fresher too.

Yet another sushi place where I would never ever ever order sushi. BUT I give Fancy Sushi major, major, major props for being open all day on Christmas when even fast food places were closed. We were starving when we walked in... convinced we would be eating at ::shivers:: Denny's... and then Yelp led us here. We sat down and were immediately brought soups and a plate of tempura... compliments of he chef. Nice touch. And yummy. They have hibachi on the menu but no grills... usually this is a bad sign, but the veggie hibachi tasted like it had been cooked fresh (I could actually hear them cook it in the kitchen... it's too bad they don't have a big window or something). The veggies were fresh and the noodles were great, but the fried rice was lacking a lot of flavor. The salad also wasn't very good... the dressing was kind of bland and too sweet at the same time. Otherwise, though, perfect. The waitstaff were extremely nice even though it was Christmas and they probably wanted to be home. Thanks guys! Much appreciated :)

If I could give 0 stars to this place I would. Stale, tasteless, over priced food is what is considered "fancy" at this place. If you are a fan of Asian food then please don't go here.

I have eaten here a number of times since the restaurant opened. This particular outing was horrible, we waited over 10 minutes for service, but the table that was sat after us was served prompty upon being sat at their table. This was frustrating to say the least, we left with empty stomachs and the $50 we had intended to spend.

One year later and we came back. Had some Rebel Roll that truely was my fave...the freshest red tuna- My mouth is salvating thinking about this... they give you free miso soup and a holiday roll with your entree...Yes yes I will be back- great service and love it!

Took out some Sushi, and you know what? It was alright! The place is new, so everything is all shiny and everyone is very happy and helpful and chipper. It's right next door to the new Red Lobster and Olive Garden, so let's hope it stays that way. ;-) (Cuz those two places can spoil anything.)

Best place to get sushi in the area. Presentation is great, taste is WONDERFUL, and the service is fast and friendly. You get great quality and quantity for the price :)

Great service. They gave us complementary miso and tempura krab roll. Our sushi was fantastic, try the tempura shrimp and mango! The fried rice was terrible though.

This place was a tremendous surprise. Visited with family while travelling in the area, and was braced for disappointment after being forewarned, "It's a chain..." before entering. There's nothing to suggest that this particular Fancy Sushi is relying on name recognition from being part of a regional brand, though - the service was far better than one would reasonably expect from a chain. Server Nicole, sushi chef Denny and owner Jimmy went out of their way to make our meal as pleasant as possible. The sushi isn't incredibly fancy, but it's inventive, lovingly constructed, and tailored to your tastes if you provide a few hints. We (a party of three) probably received a third of our total lunch as complimentary dishes based around comments we'd made about our favorite rolls and sashimi, and we were even gifted a very decent bottle of wine mid-meal to accompany our choices. There's a kind of unrelenting attention to personal preference: I had a whole conversation with our server over each minor drink order, and I never got away with ordering any specific menu item without the chef offering some customizations, even managing to embellish the lowly spicy tuna roll after a chat about my definition of 'spicy'. I expected the whole experience to teeter into overeager spectacle, but Nicole and Denny were so personable and relaxed that it was easy to concentrate on the surfeit of sushi and set doubts aside. If you stop by, be sure to ask Nicole how her loquats are coming along, and don't be too skeptical if offered a 'sushi pizza' - it's far better than you'd have any reason to expect.

The sushi here is good. I can't comment on the noodle and rice dishes as I'm a big sushi fan. The price for a sushi dinner is a bit high; it is better to go at lunchtime as they have specials and it is much more affordable. The service is spotty and inconsistent. I've had friendly waitstaff and seemingly indifferent waitstaff on other visits. This is an area that seems to need work. The service can also be a bit slow, so I don't go here if I'm pressed for time.

The decor is your typical Asian themed restaurant, with a Maneki Neko at the front door, as tradition dictates. The open room is small, and inviting with a sushi bar, tables, and booths. Being an Americanized joint, there is a large screen TV above the bar. Very distracting. We were given a lovely mushroom noodle soup upon sitting with our menus. The menu was typical for rolls, sushi, sashimi, and other entrees. Daily specials are on the wall and looked to be excellent values. This being a mid-afternoon lunch we split the Sushi Sashimi Combo ($27) which is 6 sashimi, 6 sushi, tuna roll, california roll, and salad. The salad was obviously prepared and dressed many hours previously. It only contained lettuce and congealed peanut dressing. I don't knock off stars for salads because Sushi joints are for soups, sushi, and sashimi, nothing else. Also included as an appetizer is their signature holiday roll which is tempura krab and japanese mayonnaise. Tasty, but too much mayo. Served warm. The sashimi (salmon and tuna) was fresh, and served at the correct temperature. Not ice cold like some psuedo-sushi chefs do. The sashimi was sliced properly at 10mm and served on a bed of shredded daikon. The sushi (shrimp, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, escolar, white fish) was fresh and was served on proper sushi rice. The fish was completing covering the rice. No skimping on fish in this joint. My only quibble is that they couldn't tell me what the "white fish" was. Bad mark for the chef on this one. The rolls (californian and tuna) were decent and fresh. Although I'm not a fan of 'fake' sushi, they were tasty. The seaweed wraps were a bit chewy and not cripsy like a fresh wrap. For drinks we had traditional hot green tea. The tea was served in single cups and not in a serving pot. It was bland which leads me to believe that it was cheap bagged green tea. Very disappointing. So...only 3 stars. -1 star for the tea. The cornerstone of any Japanese restaurant is their tea. It should be served in a pot and presented properly. -1 star for service. After delivering our food we never saw them again until they presented us with the check. What if I wanted more tea? What if I wanted to order something else (which I did)? For Palm Coast, it's decent sushi and sashimi, just don't expect world class service or tea.

Fresh sushi, clean environment, friendly service... what more could ya ask for?! Oh ok, how about a free appetizer? They've got that covered, too! Whenever I'm in the area, I will definitely choose this place to come back to.

NO STARS!!! HORRIFYING SERVICE!! Fancy? More like crap! Wow! I went in and tried ordering sushi for take out because I had to go to work, they ignored me for a good 20 minutes as I stood by the cashier. When they finally took my order it took over 30 minutes to make two basic rolls (California rolls!) and the restaurant wasn't even half full!! Staff everywhere hanging out at the front talking (arguing with each other even about bookings). When I finally got my food I realized they got my order wrong. Had to turn my car around and make myself even more late for work. Went back and kindly explained how late I was for work asked the manager for a refund when they took another 20 minutes to remake my order. First they said yes no problem. And then they handed me my new roll and offered only a gift card, they changed their mind about my refund! I said why would I ever come back here!? I'm so upset and the food is worse than the service! What a horrible wreck of a place.

Of the fancy Sushi's I have been to this one is probably the nicest. When we came in we were seated immediately. We were going to the Flagler auditorium (walking distance) for a show and wanted to eat beforehand. You start off with the mushroom and onion soup which is very light but a good start. The salad seamed to be sitting for some time and had water in the bottom. This I find common with this chain. You will also get and included holiday roll which is tempura krab and Japanese mayonnaise. I find the entire chain overdoes the mayo. I usually get the sashimi sampler 16 pieces. It was fresh and served very nice. My wife ordered the Californian and salmon rolls and my daughter had an Alaskan roll. Both very nice but hard to mess any of this up.. We were in and out in record time and had plenty of time to walk over to the auditorium for the show.
